REVIEW + SWATCH + DEMO Giorgio Armani lip maestro in shade '500'

The packaging looks simple and chic with their brand logo on the red cap♥.The lip product claims to be lightweight, and to be an intense color wih a velvet finish. The applicator is your usual doe tip and the colour reminds me of a nice dusty rose. You get 6,5 ml for around 36€.

The lip maestro in shade '500' is basically the perfect 'my lips but better shade'. It is very lightweight, very smooth, and pigmented as hell. It doesn't smell artificial. It indeed has a velvet finish but is sadly not longlasting but I don't mind since the product did not claim that so after eating you'll need to reapply. You can pair this shade with almost any make-up look.

Would I buy it again?

Yes, definitely ♥♥♥ The formulation is awesome and I really enjoyed using it. My lips feel super duper soft even after all the product has rubbed off. Buy it if you can!! I usually prefer a fancy packaging but since the product is so great I don't mind it.

Pros:
  • smooth application as well as a matte finish
  • 'my lips but better' shade
  • lightweight
  • pigmented

Cons:
  • Could be a bit pricey for students

REVIEW + SWATCH NYX 'Parisian Chic' Palette

The NYX 'Parisian Chic' Eyeshadow Palette  comes with 9 different shades (4 matte, 4 shimmery) and a small double-sided sponge applicator

From shade 1 to 9 (they don't have names)

1 grey-ish taupe matte               2 champagne   shimmery      grey  shimmery
4 beige               matte               5 taupe, brown matte             6 black matte
7 brown,yellow undertone          8 brown,red undertone            9 dark brown                                                      shimmery                                 shimmery                       shimmery

The packaging is travelfriendly in a small kit. The colour selection is very appropriate for day or night make-up. Basically your go-to palette which anyone should have :)

I bought this for 11.99€ and it doesn't come with a mirror.

Sadly the eyeshadows are too powdery for me with fall-out. Some are a quite blotchy. I didn't use the sponge applicator that came with it but instead my Sigma brushes.
It's still usable I guess. The black and brown ones did a quite decent job.

I was quite disappointed...I usually enjoy using NYX products but this one just did not do it for me :( Although I like the shades and smooth skin after the usage I  still expected a bit more with the pigmentation.

Would I buy it again?

I'd rather not. I thought 9 eyeshadows for around 12€ were a great deal but it sadly did not meet my expectations. Well it could have also just been me being disappointed from expecting too much.
But if you still want you can go ahead and buy it. What doesn't work for me does not neccesarily mean it doesn't work for you ♥

Pros:
  • affordable
  • versatile (many looks in 1 palette)
  • decent pigmentation

Cons:
  • some are blotchy
  • too powdery

ETUDE HOUSE Kissful Tint choux, No.1 Red Choux, Review + Demo + Swatch, Beautynetkorea

Etude House is a popular and widely-known Korean Cosmetics brand famous  for its cute packaging and affordable prices with great quality. The whole product range includes lip-,eye- and faceproducts as well as nail polishes.

I bought the 'Kissful Tint choux' by Etude House here:
http://beautynetkorea.com/product/Etude-house---Kissfull-tint-choux/KRETUDAA0000111/?main_cate_no=0

BeautynetKorea provides international shipping and a wide range of korean cosmetics from Head to toe ♥ I've already ordered on that website several times and I'm very content with the fast shipping and selection.  Buy Here: http://beautynetkorea.com/

This liptint is avaible in 4 different shades:
No.1: Red Choux           No.2: Pink Choux           No.3: Strawberrx Choux

No.4: Tangerine Choux

Here I'm going to review shade #1 Red Choux

The product claims to be semi-permanent, smooth, giving off natural radiance creating the effect of moist lips. Long lasting tint and youthful lip glow!

The packaging is a squeeze tube. Compact and travelfriendly :) It should fit in any make-bag which is a big plus.

The lip tint has a gel-like texture and very pigmented.

Does it smell?
Yes, it smells like bubblegum when applying, which I don't mind.

You can easily spread the product and it doesn't feel sticky even though the lip tint has a glossy finish.

First picture: I used some lip concealer on top of my moisturized lips to show off the true color.
Second picture: I have applied a tiny bit of tint using my fingers in a dabbing motion. My lips look natural and slightly rosy. Not glossy but it rather has a natural glow.
Third picture: I put on a second layer for more glossy and pinkish lips, creating more dimension.

After washing the product off with lukewarm and cold water the tint still remains. It does indeeed stain your lips and is longlasting. But I don't think that the liptint is oil-resistant since using an oil-based make-up remover removes it.

Do I recommend it?/ Would I buy it again?

Maybe, but I don't really have to. The lip tint is affordable and very versatile and on top of that buildable. I prefer to use my fingers in a dabbing motion to achieve a more natural tint and glow.
It stains my lips and even after eating you can still see the color (but looks more matte)!

Pros:
  • affordable
  • a tiny bit goes a long way
  • buildable
  • longlasting
  • quick application
  • travelfriendly
  • stains the lips

Cons:
  • smell could bother some people (I don't mind it)

ASTOR Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter: Ultra Vibrant Color (021 Keep in Touch) Swatch + Demo + Review

This is my first time trying out the ASTOR Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter: Ultra Vibrant Color.

It is avaible in various shades but I got 021 Keep in Touch which is a vibrant red.

On the packaging the product claims to be a Lipbutter with
'MOISTURISING VIBRANT COLOR' with an all in 1 function ,thus containing Vibrant color + Lipbalm + Shine.

The packaging is simple and resembles your moisture balm stick (from CLINIQUE, Bourjois and Rimmel etc) with the twist cap. Nothing special.
Does it smell?
Yes, it does smell a bit artificial.

The tip is slanted making it easy to follow your lip line when applying.

The lipstick itself comes with quite a lot of product.

You can definitely build up the color. On the top: I swatched it only once giving it a slight pinky undertone making it quite wearable for a daytime makeup or a the gradient lip that is very popular in korean culture.

On the bottom: I swatched it twice showing the true color of the lip butter which is a warm red.

The red is very vibrant and has ,as the product claims, a glossy finish
Since the product didn't claim to be longlasting I didn't expect it to stay on for hours.
But the application is definitely smooth and the product itself is very moisturizing with a great color payoff considering it being a drugstore product.

You have to re-apply it after eating and refrain from letting your lips come in contact with anything, thus refrain from kissing your boo since the product slips and slides :(

Other than that it is alright.

Do I recommend it/ Should I buy it?

I wouldn't buy it again. I usually prefer lip tints, lip stains and matte products. Even though it does do what it claims I do not really like it because it slips and slides around too much and I like products with no re-application better. So if you're looking for a moisturizing ,glossy lipbutter with great color pay-off and don't mind re-applying, then this is for you ♥

PROS:
  • smooth, easy + quick application
  • great color pay-off
  • moisturizing
  • drugstore (I paid around 7 dollars)

CONS:
  • slips and slides
  • not longlasting
  • you have to re-apply
  • artificial scent

RITUALS Himalaya Scrub Sweet Almond & Indian Rose Review + Demo

After using the Soap & Glory 'Flake away' Peeling for quite a while I've decided to try out Rituals' Himalaya Scrub (Sweet Almond Oil & Indian Rose).

The packaging looks very nice, feels sturdy and has an overall great design.
It contains 450g product and costs 19.50€ which I think is completely fine considering how much product you get.

On the back it says: 'Purifying Himalayan scrub salt: Revitalise your skin with this velvety soft and cooling body scrub. Leaves a deep-acting, moisterising and protective film on your skin.'

Ingredients: ODIUM CHLORIDE, ETHYLHEXYL STEARATE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE, LIMONENE, MENTHOL, HEXYL CINNAMAL, LINALOOL, ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL, MACADAMIA TERNIFOLIA SEED OIL, OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL, PRUNUS PERSICA (PEACH) KERNEL OIL, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL, BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL, COUMARIN, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, CITRONELLOL, BENZYL BENZOATE, MENTHA PIPERITA OIL, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) OIL, TOCOPHEROL, OCIMUM BASILICUM EXTRACT, OCIMUM TENUIFLORUM EXTRACT, ROSA DAMASCENA FLOWER OIL

When you open the product you'll definitely smell a sweet, nutty(Almond) and pleasant scent that is not overwhelming at all with a subtle rose scent.

When looking closely you'll see small salt crystals mixed in with different kind of oils such as Macadamia oil, Jojoba seed oil and much more.

Right after putting the scrub on my damp skin in circular motions I feel it working its wonders. Trust me, I've tried out quite a range of scrubs in the past but this one really did its job.
The small salt crystals feel coarse but not unpleasant.

After washing it off my skin felt super duper soft, hydrated, refreshed and smelled gorgeous. As the product claims it has left a protective film over my skin and the scent lasts for a long time.

Do I recommend it?

YES, I LOVE it ♥. Even though I have very sensitive skin, there was no irritation whatsoever! Furthermore the formulation is awesome. At first I didn't expect much because it reminded me of those DIY sugar scrubs with coconut oil. So the reason why I bought it was because of the heavenly scent (I mean who does not love nice smelling things?) But against my expectations it's the best scrub I've encountered so far! It hydrates while removing dead skin cells.

Pros:
  • gets rid of my dead skin cells
  • does not smell cheap but rather a sweet and pleasant smell with an expensive feel
  • the packaging with the whole indian vibe
  • protective moisture barrier
Cons:
  • Make sure not to scrub too hard, light circular motions are enough
  • not travelfriendly

So definitely buy one if you have the chance to get your hands on one!
